Teen Summer Reading Program 2012 Reader Reviews

Here's what I thought of some of the books I've read.  You can decide which would be best suited for you.  Across Five Aprils - I read this at least five years ago...it's a short book about the US Civil War.   Island of the Blue Dolphins - My class had to read this book in 6th grade - most of us loved it but I hated it.  It's pretty short, easy to read, about a girl who belongs to an Indian tribe and gets stranded alone on an island.  The book follows her as she tries to survive.  Treasure Island - I liked it.  It might take you a little while to get used to the old-fashioned language, but that's not a big deal. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - I liked it - it was very easy and fun to read.  I imagine Huckleberry Finn to be the same.  All in all I recommend Treasure Island, but you should pick what interests you the most.
